The Cayman Islands Red Cross’ assistance to the Nicaraguan Relief Committee’s efforts to raise funds and collect supplies for Nicaragua in the aftermath of Hurricane Felix last September, has prompted the Rotary Central to support this worthwhile cause.

As part of Rotary Central’s continued commitment to International Service, a donation was made to the Cayman Islands Red Cross to assist with the Nicaraguan hurricane relief efforts that are well underway.

Rotary Central contributes to various international reliefs through their fundraising efforts. In this instance the funds came directly from Rotary Central’s members and friends.

The club invites the public to purchase tickets for its yearly $40,000 raffle fundraiser, Music Extravaganza, with the drawing to be held at the Royal Palms on 1 December.

Rotary Central has 60 members and meets at the Grand Cayman Marriott Resort for dinner every Tuesday at 7:30 pm.

The Cayman Islands Red Cross wishes to thank Rotary Central for their contributions and appeals to the other service clubs to continue to support those who are in need worldwide.
