Bali Arts Festival 2007 – BAF 29th Sura Dira Jayeng Rat (Aktualisasi Kepahlawanan Menuju Kesejahteraan Masyarakat) Heroes Actualization for Prosperity of Society

Bali Arts Festival (BAF) or as well known as Pesta Kesenian Bali (PKB) is an annual program of Bali Government, since 29 years ago (1979) . During a month (June 16th to July 14th 2007) at Taman Budaya (Art Centre) there are lots of Balinese Arts, and many artists likes dancers, painters, writers, and others joined, not only Balinese artist, there are many artists came from around Indonesia, and abroad. After BAF which held at each regency in Bali before, then all them have gathering in Denpasar. Since some years ago, the opening ceremony held in front of Monument which remembering us for “Sacrifice’s of Balinese People got the Freedom”– it is “Monumen Perjuangan Rakyat Bali (Bajra Sandhi)”, Renon, Denpasar.    What is special on Bali Art Festival this year, as like as before, we take any theme each year which inspiring for the Art Performances, now it is: “Sura Dira Jayeng Rat” Heroes Actualization for Prosperity of Society (Aktualisasi Kepahlawanan Menuju Kesejahteraan Masyarakat)

Some story from Bali: “It’s so long time, when the last time watching for the Opening Ceremony by Parade of Arts, Bali, others province or abroad directly. It’s so crowded, but interesting. BAF likes any “cultural understanding by arts”, we knew about another arts perfomance from others place in Indonesia, or another country. Sometimes, lazy time or crowded situation make all our family use technology for get BAF in touch - we watch from television or listen to radio…” (some Balinese Youth) said before.

“Waiting for annual academics report sometimes make us worried, but BAF which held the same time when we got the report made ‘a wonderful meaning’ happy, interesting, and sometimes we join for the parade, have gathering with another artists. Dancing make all our friends can express themselves,” (Student of Elementary School in Denpasar)

Trough this 29th of Bali Arts Festival, there are “a spirit of Heroes in yours….” Heroes Actualization for Prosperity of Society

….let’s being heroes on this period, fight for peace, “by reducing of global warming by hearts in soul”
