Thanks for your welcome folks. Actually it is a 'welcome back' as I was around the site briefly in 2005. A stack of other things limited my time to participate but it's good to be back.

I don't see the Diigital Rotarians Fellowship in RI's list of Fellowships and I wondered if there are - or have been - any plans to seek a listing as an officially recognised Fellowship or Rotary Action Group.

I recall a plan to create a worldwide portal that would bring together Clubs and Rotarians. How is that project proceeding?

Thanks for the update Geoff. RI do seem to be a little unclear in their thinking sometimes. I too know of a fellowship with NO dues. So how do they distinguish between bona-fide members and non-members. I guess this is not for simple folk like me .

Greetings Peter!! Welcome back...it is nice to see you here. Regarding fellowship or global action group status, the International Fellowship of Digital Technology Rotarians was on RI list of fellowships...And then we ran into a situation with RI didn't like the fact that Digarians can ask to receive mail that they have requested. If for some reason they are not official member of the fellowship RI has a problem with it, even though many other Rotary fellowships and organizations, clubs, districts, etc. violate the policy regularly, RI decided to enforce it strictly and took the International Fellowship of Digital Technology Rotarians off the list. After being on the list for a number of years, I don't think it really matters one way or the other if it is on the list or not in terms of interest or participation from those around the world. Oh, and regarding the portal...yes, check out the CLUBS section, now open for any and all Rotary Clubs around the world to use to connect and communicate with other clubs!
