Discon 3860 held in Butuan City

We recently co-sponsored the Discon of our district here in Butuan City. And this is due to the outstanding efforts of all the Five clubs here in Butuan City. Namely RC Butuan (Host-Mother Club), RC Butuan North (our club), RC Downtown Butuan, RC metro Butuan and RC Cabadbaran. With AG Romeo Momo as the Captain, all the mentioned clubs contributed in all the commitee of this event. Yours truly was the Chairman for the Sports commitee. My only regret is that not all clubs in the disrict participated in the badminton and table tennis event. Maybe because it is just an appetizer for the Discon. Nevertheless, we have some participants from Cebu and Tagum Davao clubs and I can say that it was successful.

The preparation for all the welcome places was given the outmost preference. We tried to put welcoming band at the Nasipit Port, and welcoming streamers at the airport in Bancasi. Transportation were readily made available due to the planning of the Commitee on Transportation.

Fellowship night and Governor's Ball were also well planned. In my very own opinion, i think Discon3860 (2007) is sucessfull. I hope I can gather participants' comments on this event. And I wish we can sponsor again this kind of event.

I attended the DISCON in Butuan as a member of the GSE Team from Kentucky (District 6740). The DISCON was very well presented. We had a great time! My team members and I especially enjoyed the fellowship night - one of the GSE team memebers became apart of the show with the ladies from GenSan:).

I was there! And the event was worth remembering two thumbs up for the job well done!!! We appreciate the transportation and the sumptous foods.. looking forward fo rth enext DISCON in Butuan. Dann D.
