North Carolina Rotary Accepting Exchange Applications
Rotary District 7670 is now accepting applications from high school students in Western North Carolina who are interested in participating in the Rotary Youth Exchange Program for the 2008-09 school year. The program is sponsored and administered by Rotary International, and provides an opportunity for students to broaden their cultural experience and language skills while living and attending school in a foreign country of their choice. High school students between the ages of 15 to 18 are eligible to participate in the program. Students chosen are academically above average, articulate and leaders in their communities and schools. Ideal candidates should also be willing to try new things and able to serve as cultural ambassadors. District 7670 has placed students in countries around the globe, including Russia, France, Germany, Italy, Argentina, Brazil, Thailand and India.
