These pupils belong to two indigenous communities in the area which are the B'laans and Badjaos. In this project, a hot meal for lunch is being provided every school day to sustain the nutritional requirements of the pupils necessary to make learning effective. This Program is supported by (1)a deworming activity, to eliminate intestinal parasitic worms and (2) the provision multi-vitamins to supplement their vitamins and mineral requirements. These are necessary in order to make this feeding program successful where the nutritional and health status of the beneficiaries will be improved. Generally, this project is done as a support to education in order to facilitate and make learning effective. In this way, the nutritional status of the selected fifty indigenous severely malnourished pupils will be improved and their learning capability enhanced.
