G ' day

This is my first post to this list. I am member of ROTI so I will be interested to see what happens here as Digarians. I am sure that there is a difference. It was a ROTIan that invited us to look you up.

I use the internet a huge amount for business as well as Rotary. I believe the internet has the potential to do so much good for so many people on the planet.

I would like to intoduce our international fund raising and awareness project to you here and you will find it on our web site:

Click to Open Web Page

Write back to me if you care to. I am fair dinkum about this and want to explore the avenues of using the net to make it a huge success for the sake of the children of Africa. I was born in Kenya and lived there for 20 years.

I am looking for ideas on fund raising via the internet that do not involve Rotarians putting their hands in their pockets. Rotarians do plenty as it is I am looking at the internet to create the awareness in the corporate world and how to achieve that.

Thank you.

Awesome...great info!! We had a Kilimanjaro guide as a speaker at my club once...be sure and bring sunscreen, and shorts...from what he said, it is getting very warm at the top of the mountain these days!! Post a pic from the top with the Rotary flag ...or better yet a video clip on Digaria when you get back!

Greetings John, And welcome to Digaria. The purpose of Digaria is to connect Rotarians and like minded people. To make Rotary more visible on the Internet. The platform Digaria is running on is specially designed as search engine friendly, which means that if you post your project to Digaria it has a greater chance of showing up on the Internet. We are working on making Digaria bigger and more visible, and we need the help of the members to do that. We need you to spread the word about Digaria. You can easily invite people to join by using the link called "Email invitation" in the upper left corner. You can help us help you to make your projects and posting more visible to the online world by inviting more people. If everyone does that, Digaria can become the most powerful tool online for all Rotarians. Another advantage is of course sharing your experience and questions with members and getting, and giving advice to each other. One of our goals is to make Digaria more visible to the corporate world as you said and one way to do that is to post news about your club your projects. This will help us get the press to see Digaria as a source of news, which means more press coverage. Thank you for your input John. Magnus G. Moderator/PR. Digaria.com
