Greetings from Digaria. A World Without Borders.

How are you doing? Hope all is well in your world.

We have been busy upgrading the Digaria systems, and now you can easily add VIDEO to article/blog postings.

To do this, click on POST ARTICLE, and then after you write and save an ARTICLE go back and open it, and under the FILE ATTACHMENT area click the BROWSE button, and select on your PC, or camera hooked up to your PC, the file you would like to display, after you have selected the file press UPLOAD FILE, and then a small window should pop up giving you status of the time the file is taking to upload.

After it is uploaded to the server, it will give you a page to title the clip and write a summary if your like. Also, click on the TYPE box, and select MPEG format for video clips. After you save that page, the server will "digest" the file, and in a few minutes it is ready to play and for all the world to see....it is that easy!

You can use this same process for uploading .jpeg pictures as well. Video clips take a moment or two to load up from the server after you CLICK TO PLAY them on the article, so be patient.

Do you have a digital camera that takes video and saves in a file format like .avi or .mpeg? Most basic digital cameras have it, yet many people don’t realize it. If so, that is all you need to post a video clip on Digaria!

Also, if you haven’t seen it yet, go check out the video/picture documentation of what will probably be the world’s newest Rotary Club, the Rotary Club of Gold River. You can see it by visiting this link: Click to Open Web Page

You could use this same system to publish the weekly bulletin for your club, group or fellowship and have video clips in it as well. If a picture is worth a thousand words, how much is a video clip worth?? Can you imagine how cool it would be if all the 31,000 Rotary Clubs around the world had video clips and used Digaria for their club bulletins!? All the Rotarians around the world could easily know what other clubs around the world are doing in an area of relevance. And, think how much money would be saved compared to the traditional ways of publishing the weekly bulletins, it would be millions of dollars, money which could be better used for humanitarian projects around the world for those in need! Also, think of all of the trees that would be saved.

If you have any questions about any of this new technology, or would like to know more about how you can use it, send a PRIVATE MESSAGE to my Digaria profile!

Yours in Rotary,

geof lambert Chairman International Fellowship of Digital Technology Rotarians
