It was fascinating to see the Russian and Japanese architecture, old imperial palaces, and mix of new and old. Inner Mongolia opened up to tourism only a few years ago, and we were able to visit actual herdsmen's huts. I was impressed by the rich history, diversity of people and living experiences, and varied geography.

Thank you for posting these, Carrie. I've been watching some beautiful Chinese films, some taking place in Mongolia, and I enjoyed having another chance to appreciate such beautiful geography from afar.
