History repeats itself.

Think of communications:

Talking used the air with vibrations

Wireless in late 1800's used dots and dashes but a carrier to connect

Telephone used wires but a carrier and vibrations

Radio used air but carrier and variations (cycles) to modulate

FM just bundled the package and modulated it all

Two way Radio (telephone) used carriers with two frequencies (out and back)

Television added pixel painting but carriers and modulation

Computers use it all

Internet used wires then fibers that modulated light in various wave lengths to add bandwidth, still carriers

Wi Fi just went back to the air with carriers.

Each evolution is just better use of the original technology.

Excellent goef. The technology is a circle and the only improvement must be content. Technology without substance is similar to knowledge without wisdom. An old Japanese saying: "Knowledge without wisdom is like putting books on a donkey."
