President Roberta Pickett called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. after a moment of silence in remembrance of those lost on 9/11, Ted Darrow led all saluting the American Flag. Russ Monroe gave the invocation.

With our ever-faithful Ernie Droege on the keyboard, led by Don Gaynor, we sang the patriotic song: “God Bless America” on this special night.

Our delicious dinner was B.B.Q. Ribs with Potato salad and a very tasty mixed green & fruit salad, completed by a special cake decorated with God Bless America wording on top in honor of 9/11!

   We were honored with presence of Rotarian Michael Dockery & his wife Carole from the Roseville Club.    Our Rotarian Guests were John Chavez and his wife Kristie, son of our long time fellow member John Chavez whose wife Sue was also present.    Our other guests for the evening were: Joe Hoy, Craig Yost, Steve Young, Ruth and Richard Young.

Meeting program - DST Output

Mr. Sunshine, Howard Papworth briefed us that Shirley Fields would appreciate a call from Rotarians, John Floyd is resting fine after being rushed to a Cardiologist. He also touched on decision time coming up this Wednesday to elect the Honorary Mayor of F.O. and encouraged everyone to participate by sending in final donations .

Chicken Festival organizer Duane Day passed the volunteer roster around, for this Saturday the 16th. There are still a few a few spots left to fill.

Beth Wilcoxen told us the good news that the Senior Luau (Sep 20th) is sold out & is all set with volunteers.

Joe Horyza reminded us about availability of the entertainment book and also mentioned the Salmon Festival coming up on Oct 14-15.

Crab feed co-Chair, Wes Lujan covered the basics & encouraged everyone to participate to make our biggest fundraising event a real success!

President Roberta Pickett reminded all about visit from our District Governor next week, on September 18th.

Peter Romines has all 4 members set to go to the District Golf Tournament.

Free Dinner certificate winner was Joe Hoy. Buzz McClain kept the Ace of spades with all the other cards at home!

geof lambert with the help of Fellow Rotarian Michael Dockery from Roseville Club, had a special presentation for the new Paul Harris inductee John Chavez Jr. for his many services to the Fair Oaks community.

The Bar song was the sign that our lil' Genius Peter Wick was on his way to the podium. He started by fining everyone $ 2 if not wearing the Rotary Pin, then $3 to Joe Horyza for splashing the wine, Bill Wagner for being back, Bob Walters for nominating Peter as Crab feed ticket organizer.

Finally President Elect Dan Smallhouse introduced our main speaker Joedda Wick who is a Client Service Manager with DST system subsidiary, DST output located in El Dorado Hills. DST Systems and Subsidiaries are the largest employer in El Dorado County. Joedda has been with DST Systems and its predecessors for over 20 years.

She explained briefly the history of DST, which was found 1965 in Kansas City and told us that all our bill statements from Cable bills to Credit card mobile have been served by this company. She also talked about the EDH Campus in El Dorado Hills, which has nearly 1800 associate from DST output, DST Realty and DST systems…

The Meeting was adjourned at 8:30 with the Day is Done Song.
