Traffic to NASA Web Site Surges Leading Up to Space Shuttle Launch New York -- The anticipated launch of the Space Shuttle sent people flocking to the web site of the National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA) last week, according to new figures from Internet research firm Nielsen//NetRatings. For the week ending July 2, traffic to the web site grew 113% to 1.4 million unique visitors. The launch, originally scheduled for July 1, was postponed twice due to inclement weather.
