December, the "Family Month" in Rotary's calender, should be the most significant month for us,Digarians. It is the month we celebrate not only with our immediate family members but also with the Rotary Family in general. Now, what is "Rotary Family"? Not only are our own family members part of it but it also includes the 1,224,297 Rotarians, 184,874 Rotaractors, 237,337 Interactors and 136,390 RCC Members worldwide (according to 30 June 2005 statistics ). This adds upto 1,782,898 --- truly a whopping number, isn't it? If we want to include our family membersas well, as obviously we would like to, we have to multiply it by three or four at least.T he result is indeed mind boggling. Digaria is unique in more ways than one. Here Rotarians interact freely with Rotaractors and Interactors like nowhere else. This makes Digaria stand out. It reflects the best qualities of Fellowship that Rotary is universally renowned for. That is why I feel that December, the "Family Month" should be of special significance to us Digarians.
