IPv6 Forum Announces 2007 IPv6 Forum Pioneers

It is with great pleasure that Jim Bound and I bestow upon HyoungJun Kim, Geof Lambert, and George Usi the distinguished IPv6 Forum Internet Pioneer Award . Click to Open Web Page

HyoungJun Kim has contributed as Director of the IPv6 Forum Korea and Team Manager of NGI Standardization Research Team at ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute) to the advancement of IPv6 in Korea with three major missions of the IPv6 Forum Korea: enabling access to knowledge and technology for the early adoption of IPv6 in domestic environment; verification of the adoption of IPv6-related on-time applications and services to the market; and setting up collaboration with other IPv6 related organizations. HyoungJun has been very keen at establishing active liaisons worldwide, organising the famous Seoul IPv6 Summits since 2000 and contributed to many IPv6 research and deployment activities including the Korea IPv6 Showcase, for early deployment of IPv6 in Korea.

Geof Lambert and George Usi.

Geof and George have contributed to the greater IPv6 Forum initiative and within the NAv6TF to foster and evolve the concept of using IPv6 for Emergency Networks and First Responder Communications entitled MetroNet6 . Click to Open Web Page Geof and George have led the way working internationally to articulate the benefits of the MetroNet6 project in U.S., Europe, and Asia and now has a collaborative relationship with the EU u2010 First Responder project .http://www.u2010.eu/. Geof and George have advanced this paradigm within both Industry and Government. Geof and George also defined and identified the model to begin NAv6TF sub-Chapters beginning with California where Geof is the current California IPv6 Task Force www.cav6tf.org President and George as the MetroNet6 Project Manager.
