Dear Rotarians from the 6940 Rotary International District, as an international friendship project 2110 Rotaract District is promoting one of its best dreams. It consists in founding the "Sicilian Roots Rotary Fellowship", a special Rotary Fellowship who will build a strong relation between Sicily and Sicilian origin peoples (by first, second, third or even elder generation) in the world of Rotary/Rotaract!!

It's since august 2004 that our dream is growing! We are a strong international network of friendship linked by common Sicilian origins, and our main objective is to promote Sicilian culture and traditions all over the world of Rotary!

The purposes of our Fellowship are: to develop and promote world-wide friendship between members; to promote international twinning and world peace activities and projects between the members' clubs, districts and zones; to support the Rotary International service activities; to serve the community, locally, nationally and internationally through international friendship project proposals and activities.

Membership is open to every interested and qualified Rotarians, Rotaractors and spouse of Rotarian of any nationality, in good standing and registered with RI as a current or honorary member of a Rotary or Rotaract Club. Any Rotarian/Rotarian not qualified as regards Sicilian origins can be elected as honorary member stating and giving evidence to his/her great passion and interest for Sicilian culture and traditions! We are going to present the Fellowship Constitution to the Rotary International, in the next few weeks, so, please, spread the news and let me know if you know any person who could be interested in the project, because we're writing a list of founders!!
